Workshop Overview
Asset management globally is a fast-evolving
discipline. The rapid growth in technology, continued
industrialisation of many aspiring economies, and
countries investing in public infrastructure all ensure
that asset portfolios keep expanding, and that asset
management is a growth industry requiring
competent professionals. The world is also
progressing beyond just lifecycle asset management
– instead the focus has shifted from assets
themselves to how assets support the achievement
of organisational objectives and broader societal
demands such as climate change adaptation.
The introduction of the ISO 55 000 series of asset
management standards in 2014 established a
common set of definitions, principles and
requirements for a formal system of asset
management in an asset-rich organisation.
The Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA)
certification signifies that an asset management
practitioner has the necessary asset management
knowledge and comprehension to form part of an
audit team to assess whether asset management
systems comply with the requirements of ISO 55001.
The CAMA certification is also a key requirement to
obtain the covered Certified Senior Principal in Asset
Management (CSAM) certification.
This CAMA programme equips participants with the
asset management knowledge to function as an
auditor/assessor and undertake activities as a
member of a team of auditors/assessors assessing
organisational asset management systems. It offers a
comprehensive overview of scope of the asset
management landscape, the requirements of ISO
55000 and also focusses on the asset management
systems model, capability delivery model and the
asset management maturity model.
On day 4 participants will sit the proctored 2-hour
multiple question CAMA exam.
